UGC NET ECONOMICS STRUCTURE & PATTERN
UGC NET Exam Pattern authorized by NTA. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the UGC NET examination. It is the qualifying examination for the post of Assistant Professor and/Junior Research Fellow in various Universities and Colleges across India. UGC NET exam pattern consists of two papers as usual, that are Paper 1 and 2. Both the papers will contain multiple-choice questions. A total of 150 questions will be given to the candidates that need to be attempted in 3 hours.
There is no provision of negative marking in the UGC NET exam. The exam will be held in an online Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam paper will be available in English and Hindi language only. NTA offers candidates to choose from the provided medium during the UGC NET Application form filling. The UGC NET exam comprises two papers - Paper I (Teaching & Research Aptitude), Paper II (Subject opted by the candidate).
All questions asked in the examination are objective-type MCQs.
There is no negative marking in the examination.
Paper I is compulsory for all while for Paper II candidates can opt for the subject relevant to their Master's degree.
The exam duration will be 3 hours without any break between the two papers.
