The Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service (IES/ISS) Examination is a competitive examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit officers for the Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service. The examination is held annually in three stages:

  1. Written Examination: The written examination consists of six papers, carrying a total of 1000 marks. The papers are:
